Apple Podcasts affiliate program launches special offer for 100% bounty to boost paid subscriptions
Written by publishing team

Apple launched Podcast Subscriptions earlier this year as a way for podcast creators to offer listeners perks with a monthly subscription. As part of the effort to launch Apple’s latest service, Apple also runs an affiliate program that encourages podcasters to market their premium programming.

It generally works like this: Share an affiliate link for an Apple Podcast subscription, and Apple will pay you 50% of the cost of the first month’s subscription if someone clicks on the link and becomes a paid subscriber. Apple first announced this initiative in May around the launch of Apple Podcast subscriptions.

As part of the launch, Apple will now increase its reward rate from 50% to 100% between now and the end of November:

We’re offering high commissions to affiliates while linking to Apple Podcasts now through the end of November! You’ll earn double the regular 100% price on memberships as a one-time bonus payment for each subscription you pay. This means that if the price of the podcast is $10, you will also earn $10, which is the full subscription value for that recording.

9to5Mac Readers familiar with the weekly 9to5Mac Happy Hour podcast (co-hosted by Benjamin Mayo and myself) can find our ad-free, higher-quality version of each episode for $4.99 a month or $49.99 a year.
