The new subsidiary, led by Leanne Jamason and Mark Rasmussen, will build on the brokerage’s increasingly prominent presence across Florida.
Corcoran Group announced Wednesday the launch of its first New Year’s branch, Corcoran Dwellings, to serve Sarasota and St. Petersburg, Florida.
The company, led by Leanne Jamason and Mark Rasmussen, was formerly known as Dwell Real Estate, and will build on Corcoran’s existing presence throughout southern Florida and the Panhandle.
A press release from Corcoran noted that Sarasota’s posh barrier islands, lively downtown and status as one of US News and World Report’s top places to retire in 2022 made it a desirable market to move into. Saint Petersburg’s status as the state’s fifth largest city, and its historic homes and sense of community, make the city a natural next step for the expansion of Corcoran’s network of affiliates.
“I couldn’t be happier to begin this year by welcoming another wonderful company to grow our presence in Florida – a place near and dear to so many of us in Corcoran,” said Pamela Lippmann, President and CEO of The Corcoran Group. in the current situation.
Sarasota and St. Pete have a lot to offer, and now we can offer our unrivaled brand and expertise to clients in the region. Liane and Marc have built something really special together, and I am delighted that they are continuing this work as Corcoran Dwellings.”
Rasmussen founded Dwell Real Estate in Sarasota in 2011, and opened a second office in Saint Petersburg in 2016. In 2019, Jamason teamed up with Rasmussen with the goal of creating a supportive and professional environment for real estate agents to work in.
Jamason has sold more than $147 million in her career to date, and in March closed the sale of former Tampa Bay Rays pitcher (and current San Diego Padres pitcher) Blake Snell’s St.
“We prioritize every customer by making them feel like our only customer with an emphasis on superior market knowledge, comprehensive customer communication, and ethical customer advocacy,” Rasmussen said in a statement.
“We also always want to give our agents the best resources to take their business to the next level and prioritize working with like-minded individuals. With a focus on lead generation and technology, our goals are fully aligned with the Corcoran brand, and we look forward to being part of the broader Corcoran family. .”
Corcoran launched the Corcoran Affiliate Network at the beginning of 2020, and Corcoran Dwellings is the company’s 17th subsidiary. Recently, the brokerage added a subsidiary in the greater Woodlands/Houston area of Texas in mid-December, Corcoran Firester Realty.
The brokerage firm recently appointed Stephanie Anton, formerly Senior Vice President of Affiliate Marketing and Growth, as president of the Corcoran Affiliate Network.
