A gentleman figured it out when he saddled a waiter in Key West three times on New Years Eve. In fact, the 21-year-old tourist made such a great impression that when police later released a video of vandals burning a Christmas tree, causing massive $5,000 in damage to a prominent city buoy behind it, the waiter spotted it on the spot.

From AP:

Like other locals around town, bartender Cameron Briody watched the video, and got to know the 21-year-old who roughed up Kevin Ireland on famous Duval Street in Key West. “I knew right away that I had served him and that he had used a card, so his name would be on the papers,” Priudy told the Herald.

The union’s general manager, Dylan Starks, turned to recordings from “a plethora of cameras” watching the bar each night, matching credit card receipts with time-stamped videos of the man and his 22-year-old friend.

We can follow them all the time, in and out of the pub,” Starks said. “We could see them being rejected by all the girls who were trying to beat them up.”

Armed with their identities and matching their movements to street vandalism, police quickly announced arrest warrants for suspected vandalism, and city workers quickly restored the 20-ton concrete monument, which was declared to be located just 90 miles from Cuba. Visitors to Key West couldn’t wait to snap more photos at once.
