New Delhi [India], Jan 6 (ANI): RSS’s Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) at its two-day meeting in Hyderabad decided to hold a demonstration in Jantar Mantar, New Delhi in November “against the policy of privatization and asset monetization of the central government” with approximately 1 lakh employees belonging to to the affected sectors, according to BMS Secretary Girishchandra Arya.
BMS is also planning to issue a note to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the coming days. A decision on this will be taken after the association’s coordination meeting.
Speaking to ANI over the phone, BMS Secretary Girishchandra Arya said, “There was a meeting in Hyderabad for one day and a seminar the other day where the decision for this rally was taken. Only those people will participate in the demonstration belonging to the affected sectors of the country. People from sectors including coal, telecommunications, railways, defense, post will be involved in this, non-coal mining, banking, insurance, steel, cement and all PSUs like NTPC, HAL, BHEL, power grid, etc.”
“The deadline for the demonstration to be held in November will be decided at the next National Action Committee to be held in Odisha on February 11, 12 and 13,” he added.
Before the November demonstration, BMS is also preparing to hold seven conferences in different regions of the country through which it intends to spread awareness about the November demonstration.
One seminar was held in Hyderabad on Thursday. All the remaining conferences will be held in Lucknow, Bhopal, Ranchi, Bangalore. Notably, economists from all over the country will be invited to all these conferences to provide more information on the topics. (Ani)
