Charlotte Hornets’ NBA G League Greensboro Swarm kicks off the 2021-22 NBA G League regular season Friday, January 7, at the Long Island Nets (affiliated with the Brooklyn Nets) at 7:00 p.m. ET.

Greensboro (0-0) and Long Island (1-0) play twice this weekend at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum with Game Two on Sunday, January 9, at 1:00 p.m. ET. Contests against Long Island will be broadcast on NBAGLeague.com (Friday) and NBATV (Sunday).

Greensboro returns to Fieldhouse with three games in four days, starting Friday and Saturday, back-to-back on January 14 and 15. The first is Sneakerhead Night against College Park Skyhawks (affiliated with the Atlanta Hawks) with a 7:00 p.m. ET tip. The second game is Chick-fil-A Night and will see Capital City Go-Go (a subsidiary of the Washington Wizards) visit at 7:00 PM ET.

Then on Monday, January 17, Swarm hosts the MLK Jr. Day with 1:00PM EST against Go-Go.

Tickets for these games and the rest of the regular season can be purchased at gsoswarm.com, Ticketmaster.com, or at the Greensboro Coliseum. Fans can also purchase tickets for multiple games through a variety of options including season ticket memberships, mini plans, and group packages.

The start of the regular season begins with the closing of the Show Cup portion of the NBA schedule. The first 12 matches of the season came against regional opponents and a division with the best player in each pod playing in the Showcase Cup – the Singles Elimination Championship arc. Swarm did not qualify for the tournament but split between two games at the AT&T NBA G League Winter Showcase in Las Vegas. Including games at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Swarm completed his first 14 games with a 4-10 record.

Two members of Swarm’s roster recently received an NBA summons. Cameron McGrave signed a 10-day contract with the Portland Trail Blazers on December 26, 2021, while Xavier Snead signed a 10-day contract with the Memphis Grizzlies on December 27, 2021.

A number of Hornets have been named to Swarm this season as well, including James Bouknight, Vernon Carey Jr. and Kai Jones and JT Thor. Two-way players Arnoldas Kolbuca and Scotty Lewis have also been a constant fixture in Swarm’s rotation so far this season.
