Woman describes experience of being tracked with an Apple AirTag
Written by publishing team

Apple AirTags are small wireless trackers that you can attach to things so you can find them if they go missing. last friday, Jan Jan, a model and contestant of Dance Dance Revolution tweeted that someone had installed an AirTag on her car while she was out at a bar.

She said he checked her purse, purse, and pockets, but could not find the AirTag. She suspected that someone might have attached a tracker to her car. Wisely, she chose not to drive home and spent the night elsewhere. The next morning she asked someone to check her car and they found the tracker stuck to the underside of the front passenger wheel well.

A commenter noted that if an AirTag is moving with you, you can get more information about it by bringing your iPhone closer to it:

Jenna Jenna is lucky to have an iPhone, which automatically detects if the AirTag is moving with you. Apple finally released an app for Android phones last week that detects AirTags, but I’m wondering how many people even realize they can be tracked with AirTag?
